How do I retrieve my ICS certificate? ›

You can contact the Independent Study Program's Customer Support Center at (301) 447-1200 or independent.study@fema.dhs.gov. One of their Customer Support Representatives will look up your student record, verify your course completion and issue you a certificate via email.

The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland, is the home of the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) and offers the finest in educational resources. The 107 acre campus also houses the U.S. Fire Administration and the National Fire Academy.

Candidates who do not pass may re-test at any time. Test fees are re-assessed on re- tests and proctors are required. Candidates who do not pass a Level II or Level III exam should contact NIMS staff for special instructions before re-testing.

Remember: Your FEMA certifications do NOT expire! According to FEMA, “ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training.

The FEMA certificates have no expiration date so once the employee completes their training(s), they will not have to repeat the certification.

Forgot your FEMA SID? If you already have a FEMA SID but forgot it, go to the FEMA Student Identification System and select the option: "Forgot Your FEMA SID". You will be asked to provide certain information. Your FEMA SID will be emailed to you along with a separate message that will ask you to reset your password.

Currently, Only HDFC, SBI, Axis, ICICI, Federal, and Kotak Mahindra debit cards offer EMI. To avail EMI, you need to make a minimum purchase of ₹3000 using HDFC, ₹5000 using ICICI, Federal, Axis, and Kotak Mahindra cards, and ₹8000 using SBI.

The formula to calculate EMI is P x R x (1+R)^N / [(1+R)^N-1] – where, “P” is the principal loan amount, “N” in tenure in months, and “R” is the prevailing interest rate.

An equated monthly installment (EMI) is a fixed payment amount made by a borrower to a lender at a specified date each calendar month. Equated monthly installments are applied to both interest and principal each month so that over a specified number of years, the loan is paid off in full.

Login to www.nims-skills.org then click Testing Center. Click on My Credentials in the top gray toolbar. In the table below the page, it will show a list of all the credentials you have taken. You will see a printer icon under the Print Certificate column for credentials you have earned.

Do NIMS certifications expire? ›

Credentials do not expire. They are valid for life.

All are offered free-of-charge to those who qualify for enrollment. Visit the FEMA Independent Study (IS) Program for a list of courses. These courses offer exceptional opportunities to meet the training requirements for Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification.

This course should take approximately 3.5 hours to complete. To help you keep track of your place within the course, the current lesson title will be displayed in the center of each screen. In addition, a Lesson List will be presented at the beginning and end of each lesson.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Courses must meet the minimum timeframes laid out by FEMA. The current requirement for ICS-300 is 21 instructional hours (three days minimum) and the current requirement for ICS-400 is 15 instructional hours (two days minimum).

If you actually read through the material you can answer the questions easily. If you get stuck, its an "open book" exam, so you can go back to reference the material to refresh your memory.
