#2 Reduced JLR sales puts pressure on Tata Motors
For the quarter ended 30 September 2022, JLR reported total sales of 88,121 units. This is 4.9% lower on a year on year (YoY) basis. The sales have seen a sharp decline because of the above mentioned reasons.
Shares of the company fell on account of profit booking.
Tata Motors DVR was trading close to its 52-week high. Thus, some profit booking was expected.
Tata Motors on Wednesday reported a narrowing of consolidated losses to Rs 944.61 crore in the September quarter compared with Rs 5,006.60 crore in June quarter and Rs 4,441.57 crore in the same quarter last year.
Promoters held 46.4 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2022, while FIIs owned 13.71 per cent, DIIs 15.18 per cent.
