Can you make moonshine with just sugar and water?
Making sugar wash moonshine using a simple Sugar wash is a mix of water, sugar, and yeast necessary in the fermentation of alcohol followed by distillation using a moonshine still. A sugar wash is an affordable and one of the easiest ways to create a wash for fermentation.
Kilju can be produced by fermenting sugar, yeast, and water, but kilju made exclusively from sugar, yeast, and water was illegal in Finland before March 2018; therefore, grain, potatoes, fruits or berries were used during fermentation to avoid legal problems and to flavor the drink.
