Can I block bidders with 0 feedback? ›

Sellers can't block buyers with 0 feedback. There is no global block, but as happened to the OP, the seller can cancel their bid and then add them to the BBL.

It can be safe, but new sellers often have problems because of PayPal payment holds, or just plain inexperience. Unfortunatel,y there has been an increase in New Seller scams, that make it hard on the legitimate new or occassional sellers.

Failure to pay for items is a violation of our abusive buyer policy. When a seller cancels an order because the buyer hasn't paid, the unpaid cancellation is recorded on the buyer's account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid cancellations may have limits imposed by a seller or by eBay, or lose their buying privileges.

IF you are the only bidder ... AND the auction has no Reserve ... then your bid won't show an increase until another person places a bid. That is because eBay doesn't let bidders bid against themselves. Your increasing bids are being registered ... but you will win at the Starting Bid if you remain the only bidder.

By default, blocked buyers are still able to contact you about your listings. If you don't want them to contact you, select Don't allow blocked buyers to contact you in Site Preferences (they may still be able to get in touch with you if it's about an existing transaction).

It's not possible to block buyers based on feedback. It is possible to block non-payers. Set your buyer requirements to block buyers with two or more unpaid item strikes. Also, setting up your listings as Buy It Now with immediate payment required keeps the listing active until it's actually paid for.

The feedback percentage is for feedback received for the past 12 months. If they have not received any feedback in the past 12 months, it will show 0%.

Typically, orders that aren't paid for will be canceled automatically after 4 or more calendar days. For combined invoices, the time frame is based on when the most recent item on the invoice was purchased. You can also customize your settings to relist unpaid single quantity, Buy It Now items straight away.

"With Buyer Requirements you can block certain buyers from bidding on or purchasing your items." That will show you what you can do. You cannot block 0 or low feedback buyers, but maybe buyers with a negative feedback rating (-1).

Cons of Blocking a Buyer

This means that if you block a buyer after they've made a purchase and before they've left feedback, you may be driving them towards leaving you negative feedback if they discover they've been blocked.

Non-payers are incredibly tedious (I've currently got 2), but I'd always make sure that they get a non-payment strike and make sure that your buyer requirements are set to block bidders with two or more non-payment strikes in the last 12 months.
