McDonald's New Dollar Menu Starts Today. Here's Everything You Can Get. (2024)
The prophecy has been fulfilled: McDonald's Dollar Menu is officially back in a new form as of Thursday, January 4, and we are the chosen ones who shall eat it. That new form is actually a three-tier $1 $2 $3 value menu, with a chicken option, a burger option, a breakfast option, and a beverage option in each tier.
For $1, you have your choice ofa McChicken, a cheeseburger, any size soft drink, or a sausage burrito; for $2,two buttermilk crispy tenders, a bacon McDouble, a sausage McGriddle, or a small McCafé;and for $3, you can geta sausage McMuffin with egg, a triple cheeseburger, a Happy Meal, or the brand-new Classic Chicken Sandwich.
To herald its arrival, McDonald's is also putting on a game show called "1-2-3 That's a Meal!" on Facebook Live with legendary game show host Wink Martindale and dancing icon Alfonso Ribeiro. You'll be able to play along via the comments at 6pmET on Wednesday, January 10 on McDonald's Facebook pagefor a chance to win a $123 Arch Card.
There's also the "1-2-3 That’s a Meal!” sweepstakes, which you can enter fromJanuary 4 through January 14 by buying an item off the new menu, taking a picture with it featuring "your best game show celebration face," and sharing it on social media with the hashtags #123DollarMenu and #Sweepstakes and tagging @mcdonalds. The winner will have a shot at "tickets to the hottest summer music festivals, a single-season cross-country [sports] stadium tour, or some of the most iconic gaming consoles ever made."
Whether you win or not, you'll be spending less money, which is kind of like winning.

Together, they'll cost just $6. McDonald's fans can mix and match as they please, but adding fries and a drink will cost extra. McDonald's two for $6 menu includes the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, and Filet-O-Fish.
After numerous attempts beginning in 1991, experimenting with a variety of menus and pricing strategies, McDonald's launched its first national value menu, the Dollar Menu, in late 2002 in the United States. A new value menu was rolled out at McDonald's on January 4, 2018 in the United States.
McDonald's is bringing back its popular buy-one-get-one for $1 deal on four menu favorites. The deal is good at participating locations through January 29, 2024.

Does McDonald's Have a Secret Menu? Yes. Like many fast-food eateries, McDonald's has a wealth of off-book meals and concoctions available from their vast array of menu options.
It recently gained steam when a TikTok user shared she got a "dinner box" containing two cheeseburgers, four small fries, a 10-piece McNuggets, and two Big Macs for only $12 at her local McDonald's. The video now has over 12 million views.
The regular Big Mac cost me $6.39, while the Double Big Mac was a little pricier at $7.99. The look: The deep golden brown bun on both sandwiches was the first thing that caught my eye. However, I also noticed almost immediately that the burgers were pretty messily assembled.
McDonald's is owned by different shareholders, as it's a publicly traded company. According to CNN Business reports, most of this company's owners are institutional investors, who make up 70.14% of the outstanding shares. Individual owners only make up about 0.31%.
Menu items like salads, grilled chicken and fruit and yogurt parfaits were removed from McDonald's offerings. Like the nixing of all-day breakfast in 2020, these healthy options were removed in order to make service more efficient for the more popular menu items.
In her recent viral video, TikTok user anna2morrow states, “McDonald's pricing is getting out of hand,” with a dollar menu that actually doesn't offer anything at the price of $1. The only menu item that comes close to that price is a soft drink for $1.29.
Big changes, including meltier cheese and more flavorful patties, are coming to McDonald's burgers nationwide. In 2023, the fast food chain announced it would be making changes to its classic hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, McDouble burger and Big Mac sandwiches.
