McDonald’s is axing five popular items from its menu today to make way for new treats arriving tomorrow.

The fast food restaurant plans to drop the items from tomorrow 29 March, therefore fans will have to grab their favourites before stores across the UK close this evening.

The five popular items to get the cut are the Grand Big Mac, Grand Big Mac with Bacon, Chilli Cheese bites, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry and the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.

However, because these items have been on the menu before there's a chance they could return again in the future and they were only ever meant to be on sale for a limited time.

McDonald's will be offering a whole new menu with plenty of items for foodies to enjoy from tomorrow.

The burger joint has unveiled a brand new burger called the Steakhouse Stack which will cost just £5.39 by itself or £6.99 as a meal with chips and a drink.

And a fan favourite will be returning asMcDonald's revealed earlier this week it will relaunch it's Chicken Big Mac burger - after the limited edition burger was pulled from its menus last year after selling out.

The restaurant chain is adding several items to its menu for spring including the £4.49 Chicken Big Mac.

The burger was first launched in February 2022, and fans have declared they were 'devastated' and 'heartbroken' when it was taken out of the country's 1,300 restaurants a mere 10 days later.

Fans will also be delighted to hear the diner is bringing back its Easter staples, the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry® and Cadbury Caramel Egg McFlurry as part of its spring menu.

Fast food lovers will also be able to pick up the classic mozzarella dippers for £2.19 alone or £6.19 as a sharebox.

The Chicken Big Mac made a splash when McDonald's debuted it last year.

Within days of its release, the brand announced they had sold out, promising the popular sandwich would return.

At the time, McDonald's UK and Ireland said they had been 'delighted' by the customer reaction to the Chicken Big Mac.

A spokesperson said: 'The demand has been incredible and we simply cannot keep up.

'As such we've made the decision to pause the promotion, let our restaurant teams and suppliers restock and get ready for its return in a few weeks.

'We'll keep customers informed about its return through the usual channels. Thank you to everyone who has made this our most popular launch ever.

'We can't wait to bring it back for even more customers to enjoy.'
