Early Morning

As you walk into school, some girls are standing by the gate entrance, gossiping. Apparently, there are new jobs on the bulletin board that become available today.

However, some of these new jobs require some high stats in order to accept. For example, the tutoring job will require thehighestamount of Understanding, "Saintly."

This is why the guide HIGHLY recommends that you go for the Social Link trophy on your second playthrough in New Game Plus, where all of your stats are taken care of. This way, you can take all the jobs you want, and pretty much do anything you want, whenever it becomes available, without having to waste time raising stats. For this reason, the guide will assume you are already on New Game Plus, and have no stat restrictions. If this is your first playthrough, we recommend that you just relax, and play without this Wiki. If/When you wish to achieve the Platinum trophy, feel free to go through this Wiki for help.

After School

Since the amount of Social Links are about as low as they're gonna get, today is the optimal day to go into the TV World and rescue Kanji. This page will not give much info about it, since there is already a whole page with detailed information about it. That page is the Steamy Bathhouse.

As stated earlier, don't forget to sign up for as many jobs as possible at the Job Bulletin Board today. The new jobs available are the Janitor, Tutor, and Dishwasher. Take all of them, if you can.

Jump inside the TV, and you'll find Teddie waiting for you. Talk to him, and chooseSearch for Kanji. That'll take you to the Steamy Bathhouse.

This is a rather long dungeon. In total, there are 11 floors, with the boss on the 11th floor.

There is a mini-boss on floor 7, called the Daring Gigas. He's Neutral to all elements and completely blocks Light and Dark Skills. Most of his attacks will be Physical, which means it would be in your best interest to have a Persona that resists Physical attacks. If not, maybe you have an accessory or Skill Card that will help you evade Physical attacks.

Otherwise, pretty much anything will do for this battle, since he's neutral to anything. He has 928 HP, in case you want to see how close you are to the end of the battle.

Sometimes, he will increase his attack and/or use Rebellion, which increases his Critical Hit Rate. Be sure to guard after this move, as this will surely cause some hefty damage, as well as knock you off your feet if he does land a Critical Hit.

He won't summon anyone, so once you beat him, you can move on to the next floor.

On the 11th floor, you'll finally find Kanji and his Shadow. Kanji's Shadow is trying to persuade him to tell the truth about himself, but Kanji won't hear it. He must save face! The argument gets more heated and heated, until Kanji says the key words:"You're not me!"

This triggers Shadow Kanji to turn into "the true self" form. Be prepared for battle!

Shadow Kanji relies primarily on physical attacks to push you out of his way. Also, he has 2 minions by his side to help him with stat bonuses and health increases. Kanji is neutral to all elements except Electricity. He will actually take the Electric damage, and use it to heal himself! You shouldn't have many electric attacks anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem.

At the start of the battle, he will most likely start to enrage the female party members withRoar of Wrath, and poison all the male party members withForbidden Murmur. If you finished Quest 05: Acquire A Demon Statue, then you got rewarded with 3 Dokudami Teas. These items cure Poison on 1 ally. Also, if you have not replaced it yet, Yukiko should have the SkillMe Patra. This eliminates Rage, Fear, and Panic on the entire Party. Although this may not be incredibly useful while Yukiko is the one enraged, since she won't be able to use that move while she's enraged. In case you need to use an item to cure Rage, you can pretty much use anything. Rage isn't that bad, since they'll be doing some pretty good damage on the enemy, but they're defense and accuracy is halved. So, you may want to use some stat-boosting Skills or items like the Diamond Shield or Super Sonic, etc.

Occasionaly, Shadow Kanji will use the SkillTetrakarn. This move creates a barrier which reflects 1 Physical attack. So, if you use a Physical move when that barrier is up, you will wind up taking the damage, so be careful!

Taking out the Nice Guy and Tough Guy (his allies) are not necessary to end the fight, but they do provide an experience boost and will make the fight easier for yourself. Here are there affinities/weaknesses:

Be careful which "Guy" you use your Ice and Fire Attacks on! If you attack the wrong one, they'll completely block it! In case you're wondering,Nice Guyshould be taken out first. He usually heals and buffs Shadow Kanji. After you take out the minions, the battle should be fairly straight-forward.

If you can, try to equip a Persona that has Electricity Resistance. Shadow Kanji will useFanatical Sparkevery now and then, which deals medium Electric damage to the entire party. Chie and Yukiko will be fine, but Yosuke's Persona is weak to Electricity, and if you're Weak to Electricity, it could be disastrous. Make sure to boost Defense and Hit/Evasion rate if you can. From here on-out, the battle should be down-hill. Enjoy!

After defeating Shadow Kanji in battle, Kanji is still rejecting that these feelings are hidden inside him. That's why the Shadow still tries to get up and come closer to the party. Kanji has so much anger against this guy, that he punches his own Shadow straight in the face (LOL, straight.) The Shadow now lies on the floor, motionless.

After some awkward silence, Kanji finally admits something: He's, in fact, not gay. He's just scared of not being accepted. He tries to make everyone hate him so that no one has the chance to reject him.

This is your chance to make him feel accepted. No boosts are presented, so choose,"You're not alone."Kanji hears it, but decides to ignore you.

He turns towards his heap-on-the-floor Shadow, and tells him to get up. He finally admits the second set of secret words:"You're me, and I'm you."

This triggers the Shadow to melt away, and manifest into a Persona.

Kanji's now completely wiped out, and falls to the floor. You take him out of the TV World, where you find yourself standing outside the same old TV in the Junes Electric Department. He's still in a heap, but he says that he feels great.

Say,"Glad to hear it."Kanji's embarassed about what happened inside the TV, but choose"We'll tell you later."What matters now is that he gets some rest. You'll tell him about what happened at school... If he ever decides to go to school. The game will now fade to black. Congratulations! You were able to rescue Kanji Tatsumi!

Evening

You find yourself relaxing at the table at home, eating dinner with Nanako and Dojima. Dad's got some good news! Kanji Tatsumi has been found! Gee, thanks. Couldn't have done it without you, Dojima. Since he doesn't know anything about the TV World, and you shouldn't tell him about it anyway, say,"I'm glad to hear that."

5-25_I_Thought_I'd_Let_You_Know.jpg

Although, you're not off the hook just yet. Dojima says that some people have seen you hanging around Kanji's Textile Shop. Obviously, it's not the place that hip teenagers like to go, so it's a little suspicious. Choose,"My friend took me there."Dojima realizes that you were there with "that Amagi girl," and that her family's inn buys their stuff wholesale. You're off the hook! Good job, you sly fox.

Nanako's been discretely listening to your conversation, and wonders if you're fighting again. You don't answer, and the game fades to black. The game will automatically prompt you to save your progress. Do it unless you want to risk re-doing that 11 floor dungeon. Now, you will be pushed on to the next day, May 26th.
