The longest career as a TV presenter is 69 years 219 days, achieved by Sir David Attenborough (UK) between 2 September 1953 and 9 April 2023.

Naturalist Sir David Attenborough made his on-screen debut on Animal Disguises (UK) on BBC Children's Television on 2 September 1953. The fifth and final episode of his most recent series, Wild Isles (UK), was broadcast on the BBC on 9 April 2023.

Animal Disguises was a spin-off of another 1953 series on BBC's Children's Television called Animal Patterns (UK), on which Attenborough worked behind the camera as a producer and director. He is the only person to have won BAFTA awards for series in black and white, colour, HD and 3D formats.

Sir Patrick Moore (UK, 1923–2012) holds the record for the longest career hosting the same TV programme (55 years) for The Sky at Night (UK, BBC).
