I'm Bex, not Bea (2024)

tangledaddict:

I don’t think she wears pink that much. But, yes definitely purple (dress) and at the time yellow (her hair).

Purple is definitely a royal color. But, it also showscreativity, wisdom, dignity, devotion, peace, pride, independence, and a bunch of other things which Rapunzel shows.

Yellow is shows freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy. All these things Rapunzel also shows.

The meanings of these colors, I did look up on Google, I’m no color expert lol.

ALSO, purple and yellow are Corona’s national colors. Doylistically speaking, Rapunzel’s color palette in the movie is meant to reflect that she belonged in Corona. She was purple and yellow, just like the flag.

In the series, her S1 dress is a simplified version of her movie dess, and her S3 dress goes back to reflect that royal status once more. (Eugene also wore purple to show that he pledged his loyalty to Corona and Rapunzel, something that’s reiterated by the sun crest he wears on his shoulders.)
