Bungie recently announced that Destiny 2's 30th Anniversary Edition is now available for free on the Epic Games Store.
Destiny 2's 30th Anniversary edition was originally released on December 7, 2021, and retailed for around US$21. Once purchased, players would gain access to a plethora of new 30th Anniversary Edition weapons, including the fabled exotic rocket launcher, the Gjallarhorn.
This rocket launcher fires a homing missile that breaks on impact into smaller tracking explosions. It is one of the most potent DPS weapons in the game currently. And you can get that, as well as the other expansions, for free for a limited time.
How To Redeem?
To get Destiny 2's 30th Anniversary Edition for free, make sure you already have the Epic Games store launcher downloaded. After that, create an Epic Games account and log in. Then, on the left side of the screen, navigate to the "Store" tab and scroll down to "New Releases," where Destiny will be near the top. When you click on it, choose "Get" and Destiny 2 will be added to your library.
In essence, this is what you must do:
- Download the Epic Games Launcher
- Log in
- Go to ‘Store’
- Find Destiny 2
- Click on ‘Get’

Keep in mind that the free offer does not last forever. Make sure to add Destiny 2 to your Epic Games Store library during the first week of its release, from August 23 to August 30, to receive Destiny 2 and the Anniversary pack for free.
Also, if you haven't already purchased Destiny 2 from the Epic Games store, make sure you have 105GB of free space on your console or PC to avoid missing out on the freebies.
