What is a wetsuit bag? ›

It isn't necessary to wear anything underneath your wetsuit but you may find that a rash vest feels more comfortable than nothing at all. Wet suits can rub sensitive skin and cause rashes and abrasions, so wearing a rash vest creates a good barrier between you and the suit.

Saltwater isn't very good for your neoprene or, more importantly, the zip, glues or stitching that hold it all together and so a quick swill around your tub or a spray with the hose will get the worst of it off. Hot water will reduce the flexibility of the neoprene over time however, so avoid that.

Wetsuits are usually worn by swimmers, divers, or surfers who swim in cold water. Wetsuits insulate the swimmers, or help them retain body heat. This, in turn, helps the swimmers avoid hypothermia, a dangerously low body temperature.
