Galdera, the Fallen is the overarching antagonist and true final boss of Octopath Traveler. He is one of the Thirteen Gods who created Orsterra. His portfolio is that of Life and Death and he is sometimes known as the God of the Accursed Flame.
Octopath Traveler is fully enjoyable, no matter which starting character players choose. Battles around the Octopath Traveler world map scale depend on how many characters are in a player's party, so there is no rush to run out and recruit every character right away.
Alphas is vulnerable to Dagger, Axe, Staff, Fire, and Shadow. He has the ability to cause Blindness.

Strategist (Enemy Weakness): Once your first chapter 1 complete, you can get 2 missable monsters in Tier1. Meep (Flatlands) and Cactus Roller (Sunlands). Get those 2 monsters weaknesses before acquiring your 4th character and you're not allowed to complete any chapter 2 before getting those 2.
No, You Don't Need to Play It Eight Times
Octopath Traveler has eight playable characters, each with their own unique storyline. Despite what you may think, you don't need to create eight separate save files.
If you fail, your reputation take a hit. You can fail four times before ruining your reputation, as it costs about a thousand leaf (much more as the game progresses) to restore it at a tavern and give you more chances to commit theft.

Therion is a good sorc because he is faster, slightly less squishy, and has innate access to both the fire boosting sword and dagger. Tressa is great as a runelord because of a few things: Transfer Rune + Sidestep/Rest is broken, and her elemental damage output is pretty good, esp with the rune glaive.

Below are some player strategies for defeating Galdera. Recommended level: 55+ on all eight travelers.
Captured enemies will be added to H'aanit's Monster Roster. A maximum of 6 additional monsters can be added to the Monster Roster; Linde will always be the first entry for a total of 7.
The game gives you two choices and one of them is an ending, simple. It's missable because if you save after beating him, you can never try to get it again (On that save file). And if you didn't know it was there, why WOULDN'T you save after it was done.
Octopath is an excellent RPG and in all excellent RPG grinding is not necessary to complete the main quest. If you think you need to grind is because the game is too hard for you because you dont understand the game.

Alfyn is by far the best possible Physical Damage Dealer. Alfyn Concoct is so usefull and also permits to save actions(it can save a lot of entire turns in long battles) and only 1 action saved on only Alfyn is already stronger than what we get from Olberic better stats and from challenging people.
Ophelia is a good choice for scholar or dancer, but i usually make Therion a Dancer. Primrose makes a great cleric. Alfyn is a great merchant for me. and Tressa could be nothing but the bestest thief.
Once advanced jobs become available, Primrose is a strong candidate for the Sorcerer job. Even more than the Scholar, Primrose can combine her native buffing abilities with powerful offensive magic and her naturally high speed makes it easier for her to break the enemy before they can damage her.

Stealing from Cursula will only increase curse by 1. Life Orb has half of the weight of any other guns or items, making it appear in Cursula's shop half as often as any other item.
By using the Scrutinize or Inquire Path actions on certain NPCs in towns, Therion can improve his Success Rate for the associated NPC's town only.
If one steals while the other splits then the stealing one receives all the money while the other receives nothing. If they both steal than they each receive nothing. The dominant strategy in this game is to always pick steal, since this maximizes profit if the other picks split and doesn't matter if they steal.
As usual, start by taking out the main boss' two lackeys: they have just over 4,100 HP and they're weak to conventional weapons. Once they're out of the way, focus on hitting Victorino: break his defenses wtih swords or daggers, then have spellcasters use either wind or dark-based spells to deal heavy elemental damage.
Chapter 2: Haligtree Town
As soon as you proceed past the Haligtree Town site of grace, you'll be attacked by a Misbegotten enemy, while the Leonine Misbegotten above will usually drop down to attack you before long. He can be quite a pain, so fight carefully.

Boss Battle: Gaston
Gaston is a boss associated with the first chapter of Olberic's story. After venturing to the end of the Brigands' Den, Olberic comes upon the Brigands and the captured Philip. As the leader of the brigands Gaston strikes, Olberic sees he wields the blade of the man who killed the king: Erhardt.
Recommended level: 55+ on all eight travelers.
Fast weapons like katanas or twinblades are best, but greatswords like the Claymore can work if you have more strength than dexterity. Whatever you choose, make sure to upgrade both weapons as high as possible. You want as much damage as you can get in this fight.
Is Melania the last boss in Haligtree?
Malenia is the final boss of a secret Legacy Dungeon called Miquella's Haligtree, wherin lies Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. This dungeon can only be accessed in the final northern region known as the Consecrated Snowfield. To reach the snowfield region, you need a secret Medallion to use at the Grand Lift of Rold.
As mentioned, Astel is susceptible to Scarlet Rot. The closest you can get to cheesing the fight is to run up, get off a Rotten Breath cast, and retreat. The Scarlet Rot will eventually do all the work, and you can focus all your energy on dodging its attacks from a distance.
Astel is not a demigod or Shardbearer. Unlike most other bosses in Elden Ring, Astel, Naturalborn of the Void's arena is in a secret area only accessible after reaching yet another secret area. This is why you can put off this fight for as long as you want, provided you don't finish the game before beating it.
