Is Sunshot a good PvP weapon?

The king of Hand Cannons right now is the 140 RPM archetype. A bit faster than the powerful 120s and a bit slower than the zippy 180s, the 140s dominate PVP. If you're killed by a Hand Cannon, there's a high chance it was one of these.

You would imagine Sunshot or Polaris Lance explosions would apply scorch stacks, but they don't, and only a few solar exotics have been updated to do so, Jotunn (with catalyst), Prometheus Lens and Skyburner's Oath.
Sunshot is an all rounder, so that would be my choice. G/Lance is a good add clearer and nothing else. but Gnawing Hunger is better than both of them !

It's the only hand canon with 150 rpm fire rate and a 3 hit kill; that gives it an optimal TTK of just 0.8 sec! There aren't even any SMGs/Sidearms with an optimal TTK that low, and other Handcannons don't even come close to that TTK! So Sunshot has both superior damage AND range to SMGs/Sidearms!
It isn't the easiest weapon to aim, but for those who can get past the difficulty, it's a fun and effective weapon. The Sunshot Catalyst also goes a long way to making the Sunshot more deadly and easier to wield. For players considering using this weapon, it's highly recommended to get the Sunshot Catalyst.
