How far back does Facebook activity go?
Browse by year. Clicking on a specific year on the right side of the screen brings you to all of your activity during those 12 months. For example, if I click on 2009, I am taken back in time to posts I made, pages I liked, and posts my friends made on my timeline.
Facebook not only has access to your activity when you use the social network but also when you visit certain third-party websites. To help you manage that information, the Off-Facebook Activity tool lets you review and delete the data collected about you when you're using other websites.

Why do some comments disappear on Facebook?
Facebook comments can disappear for one of two reasons: the person who posted the comment on a post deleted it or the person who owns the original post deleted the comment because they didn't like it.
When you delete something from activity log, it will be deleted from Facebook and can't be restored. Move to Archive. When you move your content to your Archive, it'll only be visible to you. If you choose to restore your content, it'll be visible to the audience that was selected before it was moved to Archive.
Tap View Activity History at the bottom. Tap Filters and select Categories. Tap Groups and Events and select Group posts and comments or Group reactions. Scroll to what you want to delete, then tap and select Delete to delete your post or comment or select Unlike to remove your reaction.
Once a comment is deleted on Instagram, it cannot be retrieved by the user or by Instagram. The comment will no longer be visible on the post it was made on and it can't be accessed by anyone. Instagram's deletion process is final and there is no way to undo it.
