"We built this new menu with variety and value firmly in mind," McDonald's USA president Chris Kempczinski said in a statement.

The new deal will allow customers to mix and match some of their favorite breakfast items, from hash browns to McMuffins.

That menu exists because the chain, which famously had a $1 value menu, dropped that popular offering because franchisees hated it. The business goal of the Dollar Menu was to get customers to add to their orders. Instead, too many people simply ordered off the cheap menu.

McDonald's brings back a fan-favorite

McDonald's added a hot version of its classic Chicken McNuggets for limited periods in both 2022 and 2023. Now MCD appears to be bringing Spicy Chicken McNuggets back to menus nationwide.

Together, they'll cost just $6. McDonald's fans can mix and match as they please, but adding fries and a drink will cost extra. McDonald's two for $6 menu includes the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, and Filet-O-Fish.
