Overview
The SmartOpportunities module features two opportunity-specific mass modification utilities that users can employ to change the opportunity owner or stage of multiple opportunities at once.
Tip: These opportunity-specific mass modification utilities are available in addition to SmartOffice's standard mass modification feature, which can be used to change other types of data in multiple opportunity records.
Mass Modifying the Opportunity Owner
Note: A user must have certain user rights to mass modify opportunity owner. For more information, see User Setup.
From the Opportunity List, select two or more opportunities.
Select Menu > Mass Modify Opportunity Owner to open the Change Opportunity Owner dialog box.
Select the appropriate option:
Change Opportunity Owner: After selecting this option, select a user from the list and then click the OK button. The current owner is replaced with the selected user, and the new opportunity owner is added to the contact's User Assignment list.
Add Additional Owner: After selecting this option, select a user from the list and then click the OK button. The current opportunity owner is retained, but the selected user is added to the User Assignment list of the contact. The selected user is also added to the Related Resources section of the opportunity's Related Resources/Competition content link with a role of Other Owner.
Mass Modifying the Stage
This feature can modify the stages of multiple opportunities, even if the opportunities belong to different processes.
