Public Private Partnership (2024)

Through this site, the Central PPP Policy Unit aims to provide a central point of access to information about the Public Private Partnership process in Ireland.

PPP is basically just a different method of procuring public services and infrastructure by combining the best of the public and private sectors with an emphasis on value for money and delivering quality public services.

The new Guidelines for the use of Public Private Partnerships, published in December 2019, has been revised to better reflect evolving good practice, to ensure alignment with the provisions of the Public Spending Code, and to introduce certain new and updated provisions including changes to the Public Sector Benchmark and clarification on the Value for Money comparison exercise.
