Branches of art are the various categories/divisions of art. Some branches of art include: painting, sculpture, textile, ceramics, graphics.

Art is the expression of ideas and emotions through a physical medium, like painting, sculpture, film, dance, writing, photography, or theatre.

Art forms that have a mainly practical or ornamental purpose are often called decorative arts. Many of the decorative arts are associated with crafts, such as ceramics, basketry, furniture making, metalware, and glassblowing.

The arts have been classified as seven: painting, architecture, sculpture, literature, music, performing, and cinema.
