The country's major agricultural crops are rice, corn, coconut, sugarcane, banana, cassava, pineapple, and vegetables.

Agricultural production focuses on the following food crops: rice, coconut, banana, maize and cassava. 27-38% of the food energy consumed in the Philippines comes from crops that are not native to the region. Most of these plants' diversity is found elsewhere on the planet.

The country's primary exports include semiconductors and electronic products, transport equipments, garments, chemical products, copper, nickel, abaca, coconut oil, and fruits.

The leading U.S. agricultural exports are grains and feeds, soybeans, livestock products, tree nuts, fruits, vegetables, and other horticultural products.

Crop Production

Irrigated farm areas mainly grow rice and sugarcane whereas rainfed areas are planted with coconut, corn and cassava. The Philippines' major agricultural products include rice, coconuts, corn, sugarcane, bananas, pineapples, and mangoes.

Rice, wheat, corn, meat, and various fruits and vegetables are among the key agricultural items imported by the country.

The Philippine export market owes a lot of its current success to electrical machinery and electrical equipment, which account for USD 31.7 billion or almost 50% of all exports. Foremost among these products are electronic circuits, insulated wires and cables, and machinery used for printing.
