How We Control Clothes Moths

Contrary to their name, they don’t just eat feathers, fur, wool, and leather clothing. Certain species of moths can actually infest and eventually destroy your pantry. Once they know they have all the food they need, they can be hard to get rid of. If you weren’t that careful when you were storing your leather, fur, wool, or clothing with feathers on them and you notice holes, you may have clothes moths. And if you see moths in your clothes or fine rugs – they have already done irreparable damage since it’s the larvae that eats the fabrics. We can tent your home and fumigate to make sure you get down to zero so you can take the correct precautions next time and save your precious fabrics.

What do clothes moths look like?

Adults have silver grey/brown and gold-colored wings which are held close to the body. Both fore and hind wings have a fringe of hairs along the edges. The forewings are gold or brown with one large dark spot and two smaller dark spots, although these often rub off on older specimens. Unlike other moths, they shun the light and prefer your nice, dark closet which is why they are difficult to spot.
