Can I fly if I wear glasses? (2024)

Perfect uncorrected vision is not a requirement to be a pilot or an air traffic controller. Glasses, contact lenses and refractive surgery are all (with certain limitations) acceptable ways to correct visual acuity problems. Many of our instructors and students wear glasses!

Please see Medical Certificates from Transport Canada on detailed medical requirements for flying. The lenses/glasses related requirements can be found under “Visual Requirement” section.

At Professional Flight Centre, we are 100% committed to provide the highest quality flight training. We guarantee a supportive and friendly environment with a motivating professional team.
