If you've never done a Blind Taste Test before, you are in for a good time! Read below for all the info and ideas on how to orchestrate a test of your own.
If you have an upcoming party, family reunion or gathering coming up, a blind taste test could be the perfect activity!
Blind Taste Test
The great thing about doing a food test is that you can have as many participants as you'd like, use whatever you have on hand, and do it again and again without it getting old!
We've had so much fun doing these with our family that I decided to create some printables to make it easier for you to recreate at home!

What is a Blind Taste Test?
A blind taste test is when you compare different types or brands of food without knowing which is which, to determine which is the best! In this case, at my son's birthday party we used six different brands of chocolate chips so we could determine once and for all which kind was the biggest crowd pleaser!

How to Do a Blind Taste Test
So let's get down to business! Here's everything you need to know to do your own taste test at home.

Equipment
Materials
- Several Copies Blind Taste Test Scoring Printable One for each person participating.
- 1 Copy Blind Taste Test Key
- Different Varieties of Foods to Taste Test
- Pens
- Blindfolds If Desired
Instructions
Print out one scoring printable for each person participating, and one key for the person administering the tests.
Gather your foods and arrange them in the appropriate spots on the printable. In this case we put two of each chocolate chip in it's assigned box on the printable according to the key. Be sure only the orchestrator of the test knows which brands are in which box.
Have participants begin sampling foods and recording notes on thier papers. After everyone has completed their sheets tally up and see which brand is the winner!

Hi, I'm doing a taste test with Mac n Cheese at our bbq this weekend. We have abot 45-50 guests with 5 entries. Would you have a recommendation as to how much the 5 people should make? I was thinking on doing 1/2 steam pans, but wasn't sure if there'd be enough for all to sample? I bought 5 oz cups to put the servings in...I was also thinking I might want to prep all the servings ahead of time or as they are waiting in the buffet line? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome!

That's a really fun idea! I have no clue what amount to serve but I think honestly a bite or two per type would be enough for most people.

I'm doing a chocolate chip taste test day at work on Monday in honor of National Chocolate Chip Day so I am thrilled to have come across these printables to use!! :)
I was planning on doing all types of chocolate chips, including white chocolate chips, but the color will give that one away. Haha!

It's cold outside. My kids are growing up too fast. I feel like we tend to eat supper then separate to each do our own thing. I decided we are going to do an Oreo tasting competition tonight and have some fun together! I found your printable on Pinterest.
